Looking to buy sex? Don’t buy it on the streets of Kitchener or you might just find yourself arrested by Waterloo Regional Police. Below is an incident report from a recent enforcement initiative.
You never know when the next one might be. Are you willing to take that chance?
If you must buy sex, try a few other search terms and you should be able to find online what you’re looking for without being in or near a residential area.
Incident # 12-143966 Type : Prostitution
FREDERICK ST, KITCHENER
On June 20th and 21st, in response to community concerns, Waterloo Regional Police conducted an enforcement initiative into sex trade activities in downtown areas of Kitchener.
As a result 3 local women and 10 local men were arrested for the offence of Communicating for the Purposes of Prostitution. All were charged accordingly and have to attend provincial court to answer to the charges.
The Waterloo Regional Police are committed to providing a safe environment in the downtown core area of Kitchener and, as appropriate, refer sex trade workers and their clients to the appropriate social services.
And don’t fool yourself that the women on the streets are making choosing to sell their bodies to you. They have issues including often drugs. They need help and I’m glad that the local Sex Workers Action Network is conducting research to help ensure that they get it.
You’re not welcome in my neighbourhood or on my blog. Take a hint. Stay away.
